The 2011 Designer Bookbinders Bookbinding Competition exhibition will run from Saturday 26 November 2011 until Sunday 22 January 2012 at the John Rylands Library, Manchester.




A fun rebinding of a classic text from 1943 on the identification of nests and eggs.
The front cover is formed from a section of a tree branch, and the nest made from leather scraps trimmed and shaped.
The back cover is natural calf leather with embossed lines.
Another fantasy book, sewn onto cords and then attached to a central wooden branch core acting as the spine.The book is attached to the supporting “shoe” by a small peg
